Prior to Treatment
You will initially have a consultation with an Eporex therapist in which the particular
problem is examined and your objectives are discussed. The treatment is explained
to you and a questionnaire is taken to ascertain your suitability for treatment. If
you’re having Targeted Fat Reduction treatments then an Eating Plan needs to be
agreed before you start the treatments. The Targeted Fat Reduction treatment is
the only treatment in which you have to actually do anything, because of how the
treatment works.
Preparation Ultrasound Treatment
Treatments
are normally given on a treatment couch and you will need to remove any clothing
from around the treatment area and also jewellery. Before you actually have the
Eporex Mesotherapy treatment your skin is prepared. It should firstly be wiped
cleaned, such as with warm water and cotton wool, or with a disposable wipe. As
well as cleaning the area, any cosmetics including make-up should be removed.
Eporex ultrasound is then used. The skin is moistened with warm water and then
the Eporex ultrasound probe is moved across the skin. It creates a pressure in
the water on the skin’s surface and thrusts the liquid off the skin, taking with
it small particles of dirt and make-up from the skin and pores, as well as dead
skin cells. This process is important as it offers a more hygienic treatment and
increases the efficacy of the main treatment by reducing barriers to the transdermal
delivery of the vitamins, minerals and amino-acids.
Eporex Mesotherapy is based on a large number of accredited studies and research, in particular, research in the field of physical mechanisms that increase the penetration and spread of active principles into the epidermis, and also research in aesthetic mesotherapy.
In one of Eporex’s many studies, a retrospective study performed by Dr Sunil Chopra of The London Dermatology Centre, 38 patients who underwent Eporex Targeted Fat Reduction treatments on the abdomen lost an average of 6lb’s and 6CM, after just six, 20 minute treatments.
Eporex treatments aren’t painful at all. You should feel a tingling sensation in the treatment area though.
Thousands of people undertake surgery to shed pockets of unwanted fat particularly around the abdomen. People can feel so upset about excess fat that they undertake liposuction, an aggressive surgical technique that involves the vigorous manoeuvring of a probe into the skin and fat, sucking out fat cells.
There are always concerns in having surgery generally, not to mention the discomfort and down time, but the long term results from liposuction can also be problematic. Removing fat cells from an area in which the body naturally stores excess fat, means that less fat can reside in the area after treatment. It is therefore common to find fat thereafter being stored in the surrounding area, which can result in more unusual lumps and bumps caused by the fat stores.
Alternatively, the Eporex Targeted Fat Reduction treatment reduces the size of existing fat cells rather than removing them, and so avoids this problem.Loose skin can also, often be a problem after liposuction. With Eporex, ingredients are added to help tone loose skin as the fat is reduced.
Eporex’s Targeted Fat Reduction treatment does offer people a genuine alternative to liposuction as it is able to reduce large pockets of fat without downtime or pain.
Eporex can also be beneficial post-surgery, for scar reduction and improving the firmness and quality of skin.
If your skin often suffers an allergic reaction to general cosmetics you may not be able to have treatments. It is important that you discuss this with your Eporex therapist who will perform a patch test on a small, unseen area. If you are going to have an allergic reaction to the ingredients then the skin on the tested area would become irritated, and possibly blush, within 24 hours of the test. However, the ingredients used with Eporex are safe cosmetics which include vitamins, minerals and amino-acids and allergic reactions to the treatment are seldom seen.
For women who are going through the menopause and other hormonal imbalances, they can often find it almost impossible to lose weight. If you’re undertaking treatments for Targeted Fat Reduction and have been diagnosed with any of these conditions, you can still have treatments but your results may not be as good as a person with a more normal metabolism. In order to achieve a good result, it is important that you strictly follow your Eating Plan and increase your activity levels. The more you do the better result you can achieve.
If you had a filler you should wait 4-5 days before having an Eporex facial. If you had botox then you have to wait two weeks before having one.
You can treat post-operative scars successfully with Eporex but you must allow at least three months between the operation and treatment, or wait until the skin is healed. You cannot have the treatment if it appears that the wound is still bleeding, is infected, and if it has not healed completely. You can have scars on the breasts treated after a breast lift or reduction, but not if you have breast implants.
When results are seen depends on the condition of the stretch mark/scar tissue. If the scar is quite fresh, still with blood within the tissue, results can often be seen from the first treatment week, and they continue to advance quickly. The longer a scar is left untreated greatly affects both the speed of response to the treatment and the result that can be ultimately achieved. Old, white scars may respond. Typically after treatments, although the height of the old, white scar may not change, the width of the scar can reduce and a more normal colour can come back to the tissue, making the scar less noticable.
The ingredients used in the Eporex treatments include vitamins, minerals,
amino-acids and co-enzymes, and are safe cosmetics. Each ingredient is selected
according to the actions that it has upon the cells in the treatment area and
more than a dozen ingredients can be used in a single treatment. The combination
of active ingredients are selected with the purpose of reversing the physiology
of a particular condition from within by accelerating natural processes of skin
regeneration or accelerated fat burning. Eporex uses powdered forms of its ingredients
and this enables them to remain chemically stable.
Eporex incorporates the latest cosmetic technologies to offer the best treatment
results available, such a Cyclodextrin. Cyclodextrin has been heralded as a breakthrough
in cosmetic science as it has the ability to lock onto the molecules of the active
ingredients and hold them, releasing them over a period of time. Without their
use, the ingredients would naturally drain away quite quickly from the treatment
area. Incorporating Cyclodextrin means the cells receive more of the active ingredients
in a more sustained way and so helps to achieve Eporex’s unparalleled treatment
results.
The
Eporex Targeted Fat Reduction Treatment offers people a genuine alternative to
liposuction and it is possible to achieve comparable, if not better results, without
pain or down time. Liposuction is an aggressive surgical technique which removes
fat cells from an area by inserting a probe into the fat which sucks it out. As
well as concerns in having surgery generally, the long term results from this
procedure can also be problematic. As fat cells are removed from the area, and
the body naturally stores excess fat, it is common to find fat begins to be stored
surrounding the area which had been treated, resulting in more unusual lumps and
bumps caused by the fat stores.
In addition, loose skin can often be a problem after liposuction. With Eporex, ingredients are added to help tone loose skin as the fat is reduced.
A
retrospective study was taken of 38 people who took the Targeted Fat Reduction
treatment. It was presented at Aesthetic Medicine Conference in London by Dr Chopra
of The London Dermatology Centre and consultant dermatologist on C4’s Embarrassing
Bodies. The study was taken of 30 women and 8 men who had six fat reduction treatments
on the abdomen. The results showed that over the six treatments, over seven weeks,
the average weight-loss for the women was 6.5lbs and the average circumference
loss was 5.94CM. Men results faired slightly better.
When you lose weight and inches with the EpoMeso TFR treatment, it is because fat has left the body. There is an Eating Plan with the Eporex treatment but when people diet normally, the body becomes more efficient in the way it stores fat. As soon as these people return to their normal eating pattern after the diet, they often put the weight straight back on. This should not happen after your EpoMeso treatments as there is not a sudden change back to normal eating habits as you gradually eat more carbohydrates each week through the course. By the end of the treatment course, you will have a greater awareness of the foods you are eating and what to avoid, for long term results.
If you should continue to eat in the same way and have the same lifestyle as you did before you had your treatments, inevitably, the fat will again, over time, build up, more typically in the midriff areas. This would, of course, be the same after any fat reduction not just after the EpoMeso treatment.
Almost
all aesthetic practitioners recognise that cellulite can be the most difficult
condition to successfully treat. It is exasperated the longer the condition is
left untreated and so exactly how many treatments you would require to achieve
your particular treatment objectives can only be discussed with your Eporex therapist
at a consultation. It can depend both on the severity of the condition and also
your personal physiology.
The Eporex Cellulite Reduction treatment, however, will start to take effect after the first treatment.
The way that the Eporex Cellulite Reduction treatment is working means it actually corrects the tissue which is causing the visible signs of cellulite. Our skin cells are turning over every 28-40 days and so it takes time for Eporex to restructure the tissue. Most people will have a course of seven treatments and take it from there. Some people may find they have achieved the desired results by then, others may wish to have a couple more sessions.
Very occasionally, this may appear to be the case. The reason is that in the treatment area, fat is being burnt at an accelerated pace and this can happen quite quickly. What’s also happening is the treatment is restructuring the tissue, so that the circulatory problems and irregular fibrous tissue are corrected, and this takes longer to take effect, improving week by week. Therefore, reducing fat within the cellulite affected area can happen quite quickly and it can make the problems with the tissue more noticeable for a few weeks until the lower layers of skin has been given a chance to regenerate thanks to the treatment.
